Desert Club Scholarship Applicant Selection Criteria
Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
ü Graduate in the Class of 2009
ü
Attend a
ü Rank in the top 6% to 50 % of their graduating class (top 5% are ineligible).
ü Have a verifiable financial need.
ü Demonstrate leadership skills in school, employment or community-related activities.
ü
Attend a university, community college or
vocational school in
Application Process
1) Instructions: To complete this application, please copy all pages of this form and paste into Microsoft Word.

2) Please also print out copies of the reference form to give to your references. Next, type all answers below the questions. Then print and submit with the required documents as described below.

b) b) Typed Essay - One-page maximum, single spaced, 12pt. font
c) cThree references that reflect the applicant's potential for success in college. These should include an educator, business person or employer and one other person. Attach all three references to the application.
d) dOfficial high school transcript, including current class standing.
e) eCopy of your parent's most recent tax return.
f) fCopy of your driver's license, both front and back.
3) The Scholarship Committee will interview the finalists. Scholarships will be awarded in April 2009.
