Founded as a women\u2019s service organization in September 1946 under the leadership of President Helen Coleman, we currently have 19 active members and nearly 40 life and sustaining members dedicated to raising funds for community grants and academic scholarships. Our members are volunteers, and Desert Club is a recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We encompass individuals of all ages and backgrounds, working together to achieve remarkable accomplishments!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"cgHgbA nxe3IQ Xp24Nw\"><span class=\"OYPEnA\">Regular meetings of Desert Club take place at a designated location (currently Gilbert) on the second and fourth Wednesday, beginning the 4th week of September through April. Each meeting starts at 7:00 PM with a half-hour of social time for fellowship and refreshments. The meetings are led by our Desert Club president and follow our bylaws. Many gatherings include opportunities for members to acquire new skills, gain information, and simply enjoy each other&#8217;s company.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"cgHgbA nxe3IQ Xp24Nw\"><span class=\"OYPEnA\">Additionally, our members come together for special events, including the annual Fall Dinner, Christmas Party, and Spring Luncheon. Committees are formed to prepare for fundraising events, and these teams meet outside of regular meetings such as workshops to create items for sale at the Christmas Idea House. Some of our most memorable moments occur during workshops, such as the annual Fudge Workshop and Gourmet Workshop.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"cgHgbA nxe3IQ Xp24Nw\"><span class=\"OYPEnA\">Are you interested in learning more about Desert Club or attending a meeting to see if it\u2019s the right fit for you? We also have an Advisor to New Members who will help you understand the traditions and rich history of the Desert Club once you join.
