Secrets of the Fudge Workshop – Revealed!
There are many workshops throughout the year, and with the Christmas Idea House just around the corner November is the time for the glorious fudge workshop! Is it really Christmas time without fudge? I think not.
One morning in November, volunteers from the Desert Club turn a normal kitchen into a sweet lover’s dream. Between about a dozen women over 120 pounds of fudge get made in just one day. That’s a lot of fudge!
Typical flavors of the season are plain, peppermint, pecan, walnut, and rocky road, yum! The fudge is packaged and tied with a big bow. Those containers of fudge are sold at the Christmas Idea House each year.
In addition to fudge, Desert Club members make a variety of sweet treats that are for sale in the Gourmet Room. They are perfect gifts give away or bring these holiday treats home to your family and enjoy all season long.
